7:00 Depart to Cu Chi . We drive 70km to north- west of Ho Chi Minh city to visit the incredible system of tunnel, an extremely complex tunnel system, the Cu Chi Ben Duoc network covers a wide area of countryside near to Ho Chi Minh city and was an excellent way for the Viet Cong to move undetected by American forces underground. This evocative day tour explores the struggle of everyday life during the Vietnam War from a local perspective and takes you deep underground to explore the tunnels.

The Cu Chi tour starts with an introductory video detailing its long 20-years construction. Then it is time to go underground to experience the Cu Chi tunnel system ( size 80cm x 120 cm)  which offered a safe haven for soldiers and thousands of Vietnamese people during the Vietnam War. It is virtually an underground city with dwelling houses, schools, hospitals and factories.

On display are booby traps, the remains of a US army tank and huge craters left by American B52 bombs. You will be able to admire lots of compelling photos and personal effects left behind.

There is also the chance to play real war games firing an authentic AK rifle, Garand M1, Carbine M16, M60, M30 at the National Defense Shooting Range used during the war.

Then we will drive back and reach Ho Chi Minh city around 12:00pm for lunch

After lunch, we will visit the century-old Reunification Palace, which witnessed the growth of Ho Chi Minh City during peacetime and throughout the Vietnam War until its end in 1975.

Then move onto the War Remnants Museum, which relates to the American phase of the Vietnam War. See displays of old military equipment and other related objects as well as larger exhibits including an F5A fighter and a UH1-Huey helicopter.

Continue to the nearby French colonial area, including a stop at the impressive Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, a famous cathedral located in Paris Square. Discover the magnificent neo-Romanesque architecture as you take in the tranquil atmosphere inside.

At the opposite Central Post Office, one of the oldest buildings in Ho Chi Minh City, learn about this significant landmark — the busiest post office in Vietnam. Admire the neoclassical-style of the post office interior as your guide points out the painted maps of former Saigon, once the capital of South Vietnam.

Finally, enjoy a visit to Ben Thanh Market, a lively market in District 1, where your guide can help you bargain for goods.

After the tour you'll be dropped back at your hotel.

  • FOOD TOUR ON MOTORBIKE - BEST WAY TO EXPLORE HO CHI MINH!

    FOOD FUN

My husband and I had been recommended this tour by some tourists that had just done it. We were taken on the tour by Tiny and Juho. They were fantastic! They spent 4 hours taking us around and giving us an insight into life for the Vietnamese people. Along the way we were educated and well fed. The food was fantastic and in abundance. We felt completely safe and there was no concern about being on the busy roads. This is a must while in Ho Chi Minh!.

EXCELLENT TOUR, WITH FIRST CLASS GUIDES TEE AND KENT

We did the half day scooter tour, and couldn't have been more impressed. It was my partners first time on a scooter, and coupled with the HCM traffic she was a little nervous. Tee and Kent, our guides put her at ease right away. We visited temples, the flower market, motor cycle market, amongst others as well as fruit and vegetable produce from the Mekong Delta being sold on the banks of the Saigon River. We went up and down tiny alleys in areas off the main tourist areas. We got caught in a heavy downpour which added to the fun of the day. The supplied ponchos helped keep us dry. The guides, Tee and Kent, speak really good english, and explained things about the historical significance of certain places we visited really well. One of the best parts was our stop to have an authentic vietnamese coffee and we each chatted about our various cultures and interests. This has been my 3rd visit to Vietnam and I have done lots of tours and sightseeing, but this was right up there with one of the best things I have done. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone Thank you for a wonderful tour Tee and Kent Andrew and Maree

    A FANTASTIC TOUR

My husband and I are not much into tours, but this one was great! A lovely way to see the real Saigon! Not to mention the delicious street food. And Sunny and his teams mates were very informative! We loved it! Thank you Sunny, Stan and the girls for a great evening!

    A FANTASTIC TOUR

What an incredible night of exploring "non-touristy" delicious street food all over the city! Sophie is an incredibly fun, knowledgeable, thoughtful girl that beautifully wove through not only the maze of crazy traffic, but also the maze of my picky eating!! I cannot speak highly enough of what a fun and energetic tour this is! I highly recommend this experience!!

    TINY FOR THE WIN!

I did the food tour around the city, and was lucky to get Tiny as my tour guide. She was amazing! Super friendly, very knowledgeable, and excellent English. I actually ended up with a private tour with her, and time just flew by as she took me from one delicious place to another, and talked about food, Vietnamese culture, and life. Highly recommend this company and in particular Tiny as your tour guide. Hi Tiny! - Your american bf
